About Stan Hamilton
I am a self-taught artist, the only artist of nine siblings, from a small town in Kansas. My love for art, particularly drawing and painting became apparent to me as a young child in grade school. I kept my art as a hobby until I reached middle age, then started creating commission portraits, landscapes, seascapes, and wildlife professionally. Thank you Elena. I had created a series of Indian portraits a number of years ago and currently have four left in my studio/gallery in Nashville, IN. One of the Indian portraits in that series, the one called "Chief Crazy Horse", ended up being published in a historical documentary by the University of Michigan, which I thought was a nice honor. Thank you again for your feedback. Best Wishes, Stan Hamilton

This indian is Spotted Bull of the Mandan tribe. The only reason I know who he is was because I have done extensive research on Edward E. Curtis and am part choctaw myself. I also did this indian as a portrait some time ago for an art class and I think that is why it stuck out to me so much as I was going through the drawings on fine art. I love the profile of this individual and you captured it well. Keep up the good work.
